The ETO is pleased that the European Commission and Parliament are keeping the Single Market for goods high on the political agenda and welcomes the new proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL on the mutual recognition of goods lawfully marketed in another Member State .
The specialty products industry is still facing a lot of restrictions in many European countries due to national restrictive or burdensome requirements. Mutual recognition and free movement of goods within the EU is still in practise not fully working.
